Orly Ziv

The artist Orli Ziv was born near Paris in 1960. Her parents, children hidden during the Second World War, passed on to her a genuine love for art, and her studies at the Roederer Academy, located on the famous Place des Vosges, gave her a taste for the “Made in France” aesthetic. She finds all her early artistic inspirations in Paris, which she freely expresses through cinema and music, in which she evolves. She then settles her bags in Jerusalem, and in 1990 she moves there with her husband. It’s love at first sight. The city and its desert surroundings inspire in her an almost obsessive love: its doors, its colors, its stones, its light, its movement, its lyricism. She then takes up her brushes and unveils paintings that are, in turns, naïve, oriental, or impressionist.
